Respiratory System

The respiratory system provides gas exchange, saturating the fabric of the human body with oxygen and releasing them from carbon dioxide, as well as take part in the sense of smell, phonation, water and salt and lipid metabolism, generating the certain hormones.

In the lungs breathing apparatus perform gas exchange function, and nasal cavity, nasopharynx, larynx, trachea and bronchi - air-conducting. Once in the airways, the air is warmed, cleaned and moistened. Also, here is the perception of thermal, mechanical and olfactory stimuli.
